Dear Members,

I was wondering how old this vase is. The mark is drilled out and is marked "CHINA." A similar mark is mentioned on the Gotheborg site as potentially 1950s. I would think late Republic or mid-20th Century.

Thank you,

I believe that just the word China would be before 1920 after that it would say Made in China, the mark China could have been but on at a later date though, could you post a close up picture of the Fencai decoration, thanks.

I agree with Stan late republic... My best guess is probably somewhere in the 40's..

Hi Heavenguy, I was thinking a little earlier maybe late Qing to early republic, the style of mark Zhuanshu script was prevalent then I think.

You are probably right. I always tend to go on the age based on the stamps more than other features... Need to stop doing that...

Peter, do you think this is Republic Period?

Thank you,
