Hello, I found this really neat plate from an antique shop today.

It has a red Guangxu mark on the bottom. I know they call it birthday Guangxu design or something like that. I don't know if the plate is M&P or not. Looks hand painted with some water marks on parts of the plate. about 5 1/3 inches in diameter.

on the bottom it has some types of rotating marks underglaze. That it's my biggest concern. For a hand painted piece it looks very high detailed. Maybe it could be some type of republic period reproduction or not. I'm really blank in here since the foot rim its very thin. I was wondering your opinion guys.

Thank you in advance.

Not sure if it could be republic period, but the general, pristine look makes it more likely to be from the late 20th century. I would like to draw your attention to the incised line along the glaze edge at the foot rim. This is unusual on Chinese antiques, but appears more often on later porcelain.

Thank you Peterp. That helps a lot. I wish I could tell you I'll be more careful but I guess I'm a compulsive buyer.
