Bamboo vase

Saw this vase the other week and didn't buy it because I thought it looked very fake.
I then looked for bamboo vases online but didn't find any.
Decided to spend a few cents and bought it this week, hopefully someone here has a clue?

Forgot, it is 25cm high, about 10 inches.

Unless this is Japanese, it is more likely recent.

It could be Japanese but the blue looks like there is purple in it, if so it would be 20th century, possibly 2nd half.

Thank you both, it does have a purple tone to it.
I will hang on to it for a while, perhaps I'll find something similar or Japanese in the future.
