Any help with the mark?
Thanks

Wan Yu, a common Chinese mark. Either this is Japanese or new. But, this is not one of the Chinese marks that is widely used on Japanese porcelain.

Thanks Peter. The metal mount on the rim was put to cover few chips. I guess that could have been made recently.

I have seen the bottom mark by itself on old Hizen pottery, the blue color I think would put it in the Meiji period I think.

Thanks Stan, that could explain it.

And no, my judgement had nothing to with the top rim. Only base, shape and decoration style.
