Hi

I've a porcelain dish/vase with a chinese mark but I've no idea if it has any value. How can I check and evaluate the piece?

Thanks

This piece has a Ming Chenghua mark, but has a Japanese decoration.

I didn't managed to post the other images (front + side), I'll do it later today. Maybe it will help to see if it has any value.

Thanks

Here is the other photo. Can you help me identify the origin? Thanks

Taisho period, maybe later judging by the bottom, there are no stilt marks.

Stan, do you know if such porcelain has ever been imitated outside Japan/China?  Two or three of the characters look as if the writer was not familiar with the strokes.

Hi Peter, not to my knowledge, but anything is possible, I think anywhere that money can be made there will be fakes, but I am seeing a lot of Japanese porcelain that is being sold out of China these days, and I know that they are fakes, if they were real they would be worth a lot of money and they are being sold for cheap.
