Japanese or Chinese?
Thanks

Stan

Looks like mid 20th century Chinese to me, could be later.

kardinalisimo

Thanks Stan. What are the features that make them so late?

Stan

the whiteness of the glaze and the foot rim.

kardinalisimo

I don't know, to me they look older than mid 20th C. but I could be wrong.
What's with the whiteness? Is not it the more white, the better the quality? The enamels also don't look from that period to me unless they tried to copy old ones. Not sure about the drawing style and the faces...

Stan

19th century would not be as white, it has a blueish white, in the 20th century they started using white white, the decoration is why I think later, it is not drawn like what you see on republic porcelain,it is lacking quality, that is why I was thinking later.

kardinalisimo

Are you saying that all the Republic porcelain is drawn very fine? I think that depends on who the piece was made for. There are plenty of sloppy painted pieces even from the late Qing if not wrong.

Stan

I agree but you need to look at the all the points I mentioned, quality was one of them.
