Ceramic vase with orange glaze

Hi all

I am a beginner collector of Chinese porcelain and I have acquired a few pieces so far in my collection , I have not too long ago purchased this large orange glazed vase and I have been trying to do research on the piece , I am not sure it is even Chinese but I thought I would post it on here as I seem to be getting mixed answers regarding it.

Any help would be great..

The shape is Japanese and the bottom looks modern.
