Hi, I purchased this nice antique Chinese Plate because it is so beautiful. Has someone any idea about the time it was made and what the red square seal means? Thanks. Ilona

This is blurred, but could be a Qianlong mark. It is spurious and written in a fancy writing style that is not normally found on Chinese porcelain.
