Hello, Looking to purchase my first piece, but am concerned about fakes.
Would anyone like to offer advice or provide comments? Based on the little that I do know, I think this piece is from Qianlong  (1736 - 1795). Can anyone translate the these. Many Thanks

It probably is a fake. First, the mark is Qianlong, but the bottom color is wrong for that period. Then, the text seems to contain some simplified characters, which would mean post-1960. The text is signed Tang Ying, the imperial kiln overseer, who lived in the 18th century. This would make this an imperial item, that is very expensive. But for the above mentioned reasons this is very unlikely.

Would photo of the front be of any more help? How are simplified characters tied to post 1960? When you say expensive are you saying thousands or 10's of thousands. this is a small 6 inch bowl
