Chinese tea or spice pot ?

Further to my precious post about a plate, I also have this pot (no lid but must have been in cork, I presume.
Could you help me identify and value it as well ?

I have seen these jars occasionally, but have never been able to find a reliable source for information on them. Some seem to think they are Korean, but there would be an equal chance that it is Vietnamese, perhaps.
If it is Chinese, it would have to be from one of the lesser kilns manufacturing the crude wares for the common people. The sign/character on the bottom is not a Chinese character. It would have to be Qing dynasty, probably, due to the fact that the glaze removed from the shoulder. That is about all I can see.
