Japanese? First half of 20th century maybe?
Thanks

Stan

By the looks of the bottom it could be a little earlier 20s or 30s.

Thanks Stan.
I've never seen one like this before. Any term for the type of decoration?

With the Chinese the plum blossoms are most popular, with the Japanese cherry blossoms. Both are in the genus "prunus". In Japan the general assumption seems to be that cherries are white while plum blossoms pink. I had to 'unlearn' this as cherries often are pink and plums can also be white.
However, I doubt that these are blossoms of said trees. They resemble more chrysanthemums I would think.
The background seems to imitate the Chinese "ice" decoration, which usually appeared on Kangxi prunus jars.

The colors are a little bit too pastelish, and looks like gilded with gold in a 3d relief type of way... The jar is little bit of a Victorian taste, and looks a little bit too old. Maybe some type of Moriage ware? They are the most hard to identify and almost of all them is unmarked. I have seen a few online and only like a couple in real life, and most of them never look alike. Could be worth a try to look for something similar in that department. Good Luck!!!

Thanks for the replies.
I was thinking about Moriage as well but most of the pieces I've seen had different decoration, like dragons, geishas, immortals, floral etc.  Never seen one on pink ground. The whole thing looks unusual to me.
