Chinese storage jar ?????

Im wondering if this storage jar is chinese

And any idea of age

Judging by the shape it could be, but then again, the bottom of the more simple storage jars of this type are usually flat (no foot rim). It would have to be from a southern kiln, but did you look at Martaban jars? Some look similar. I guess this jar shape did also exist in SE Asia and other places. It has not typical feature that allows identifying it as being Chinese.
