Good afternoon,

Can anybody please tell me what period this vase can be?

It has next to the blue overglazed decor some orange decor.
The bottom shows no marks at all.

Regards,
Teunis

Please provide a closeup picture (partial) of people, of the bottom, and a partial picture of the red part in the decoration.
With this single picture it looks as if it could be printed. If it is, it would be fairly recent.

Hi Peter,

I am sure this is not printed.
Here some more pictures.

I'm afraid this is a modern fake. Apart from the people's faces, I have issues with the painting style. The painting shows too many intricate details. In other words, with blue and white porcelain there is usually no such hight density of fine lines. With traditional blue and white porcelain the blue color is under the transparent glaze. Depending on the thickness of the vitreous layer and bubbles enclosed in it, some detail areas shown here would appear blurred in ancient glazes. The intricate details, especially in people's faces and robes would have been difficult in underglaze blue decorations in the old times.
This was mostly only possible with on-glaze decorations, which as a norm are polychrome.
My personal opinion.

Hi Peter,

Think I have to agree to what you say. Too much detail indeed.
Bought it at an auctionhouse and it was offered as dated 1912-1949.
