Japanese gember pot satsuma style komei or early Meiji

It looks to me with some research: a japanese polychromatic enamel overglaze gemberpot  satsuma style . Several age signs orange ironoxide stripe on bottom, rustspots etc. Colors including iron-red, a glossy blue, a bluish green, a soft purple and orange. Estimate early Meiji period (1868 -1911)  or komei period 1848-1868.

Am I right??

I do not know if the Japanese ever copied this decoration, but to me this looks like a Chinese decoration, approx. late Qing to early republic. The lid is probably a replacement. Normally this type of decoration does not come with black characters.
And, this is not a ginger (gember) jar; ginger Jars have different shapes and do always have a neck.
