I am trying to determine what this bowl(I'm assuming it is a bowl) is and the age of it.  I'm not even sure it is Asian but it looks like Kakiemon.  The thing that is throwing me off most is the mark on the back.  It is an impressed crown with a "G" under it.  That mark appears to possibly be a Staffordshire mark.

It's 9 3/4" and 1 1/2" high.

Is this Japanese?  How old do you think it is?  Any info is appreciated.

I had a very hard time getting a photograph of the mark.

Neale & Co. 1780 - 1790 not Japanese but copying Kakiemon as did the Chinese and others at the time.
